![]() ![]() They are also deadly rivals of the Varrio Longo Gang, a Latino gang that feud with Blacks/Asian and Cambodian gangs in Long Beach. Despite, the Rollin 20s Crips and the Insane Crips being bitter rivals they shared a brief truce, during the mid 1990’s. Until the 1980s, when they parted ways, due to infighting with the Rollin 20s claiming territory South of 21st Street and the Insanes claiming territory North of 21st Street. The 20s Crips and the Insane Crips, were united as one and moved together as a unit. The Rollin 20s Crips are allies of the Rollin 80s West Coast Crips, a street gang located on the West Side of Long Beach. Other notable artist’s with ties to this gang are Nate Dogg, Daz Dillinger (of Tha Dogg Pound), Goldie Loc (of The EastSidaz), C-Note and Domino AKA Ginuine Draft (of Bloods & Crips). ![]() ![]() The Rollin 20s Crips, are internationally known and the most popular gang in Long Beach, due to exposure in the media after being linked to platinum selling rapper Snoop Dogg. The Young 20 Locs (YTL), later emerged as a subset of the Rollin 20s Crips, mainly consisting of the younger generation. Their cliques consist of 21st, 20th, 19th,17th, 15th, 11th, and 10th Street. Members of the Rollin 20s Crips, are known to brand their bodies with tattoos of the Stealers emblem, which is a dead give-away to rival gangs. Their neighborhood is primarily South of 21st Street, East of Long Beach Blvd and West of Orange Ave. The Rollin 20s Crips are known to sport the primary colors of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints (black and gold). Just two years apart, by age ten Larry was a guitar whiz, playing a double-neck Mosrite guitar like his mentor, Joe Maphis.The Rollin 20s Crips (RTC) also known as the Rollin 20s, are the second largest African-American criminal street gang located on the East Side of Long Beach, California. The Collins Kids, Larry and Lorrie, became show regulars with their rockabilly beat and harmonies. There were a number of country stars that either joined the cast for short periods or were simply guests, including Lefty Frizzell, Johnny Cash, Jim Reeves, Sons of the Pioneers, Smiley Burnette, Patsy Cline, Eddie Cochran, George Jones, Wanda Jackson, Carl Perkins and Gene Autry. Tex Williams and his band were to provide the musical backing for performers. “The lineup on that first show was to be Tex Ritter, Les (Carrot Top) Anderson, Wesley and Marilyn Tuttle, Jack Lloyd, Joe Maphis, Rose Lee Maphis and Texas Tiny (a disc jockey at KFOX who had a three hour a day show).
